About Ray
Ray Melerine is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working to help improve the lives of children, adolescents, and families since 1998. Ray earned a Master of Arts degree from McNeese State University in Psychology with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling. In addition to being credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor, he is also credentialed as a Registered Play Therapist – Supervisor. His qualifications combine strong family values with excellent clinical skills that are both child and parent friendly.
Ray has received specialized training in the areas of child and adolescent counseling, family counseling, parenting strategies, group counseling, substance abuse counseling, anger management, mood disorders, ADHD counseling, stress management, and play therapy. Ray is a past president of The Louisiana Association for Play Therapy and currently serves on their board.
In his personal life, Ray enjoys spending time with his wife and five children.

Jodi Underwood, MA, LPC,LAC, SAP. Ms. Underwood is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Addiction Counselor, and a Substance Abuse Professional. She specializes in substance abuse / dependence, depression, anxiety reduction, adjustment issues, behavioral issues, and Department of Transportation substance abuse / dependence evaluations. Jodi provides a safe, nonjudgmental and supportive environment to assist her clients in reaching their life goals, overcome hardships and learn skills to cope with daily stressors. She works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are seeking.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I utilize a variety of methods including cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, meditation, psychodynamic, yoga and others. We will explore and define present areas of unhappiness and feeling stuck. We will develop positive skills that will allow you to create the life you desire. I believe every individual is capable of healing from within. We will work on removing patterns of thinking and behavior that are self harming. So that you can move forward through learning about yourself.
I specialize in treating Individuals, Couples, Trauma, Abuse, Co-Dependency, Grief, Parenting, Co-parenting, Love Self Esteem, Anxiety, Depression and Life Transitions.
About Chauntelle
Chauntelle Lejeune is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in Couples Counseling, Family Counseling, Mood and Anxiety disorders, as well as Grief/Trauma for more than 16 years. Before joining Compass Counseling, Chauntelle spent 16 years working as a therapist and public speaker for Solutions Counseling & EAP. She has extensive experience in presenting to large and small groups on a wide variety of Risk Management and Wellbeing topics. Chauntelle spent 15 years as an instructor for Successful Partners In Parenting, a divorce co-parenting class. She was also an instructor for the Love Thinks program, a dating/relationship educational course, through the Diocese of Lake Charles.
